Young adults across Yorkshire — and across the UK — are calling for a future that is fairer, more accountable, and genuinely responsive to the people it serves. They want a real say in the decisions that will shape their lives, not as an afterthought but as partners.

Next Gen Summit

In response, we are convening the Next Gen Summit — a national gathering of young adults who will work together to develop clear, evidence informed proposals for MPs and policymakers. Planned for no later than summer 2027, the Summit will be rigorous, transparent, and grounded in lived experience. Its purpose is to give young adults the chance to influence political parties’ manifesto commitments at the next general election.

Leading up to the Summit

In the runup to the Summit, a young journalist presenter will host a series of online discussions, inviting young people to explore the ideas on this site and help shape the direction of the work. These sessions will build energy, insight, and confidence ahead of the Summit itself. The first will take place in May, with the full timetable and joining instructions released shortly.
